Finishing the album

Our album has been fully mixed and we are about to have it mastered. Very soon you will be able to listen to the album on the Music page of the site! We hope to bring it to you as soon as possible.

We will be regestering the album under a Creative Commons license, to find out more about what that means, click the below button.

The Antikythera Mechanism by Pektop is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

CD Recordings

We are getting closer and closer to our CD recordings. We will be spending a lot of time in July recording at Magnet Records studio owned and operated by Jean-Pol Van Ham.

Ufomammut + Pektop + Malleus

Great news for all you fans of dark and doomy, we are playing opener for the amazing Ufomammut! They’ll be enlightening us with their new album EVE. We are very excited to be playing alongside these giants and will ofcourse be giving our best during the show.

Not only that, there will be a Malleus poster expo before/during/after the show, so you can stock up on all the psychedelic stonerrock artwork your droning heart desires.

We hope to see you on the 20th of may, 2010 JH Sojo, Kessel-Lo (Leuven, Belgium) doors at 7PM!

With long songs, droning vocals and massive effects Ufomammut is right there along side of Neurosis, combining their monumental riffing attitude with the psychedelia of the more visionary Pink Floyd. Ufomammut’s live show is supported by the internationally acclaimed video and graphic art of Malleus, a rock artists’ collective who conjure the entirety of Ufommamut’s visual impact.

Review of EVE on Doommantia:

“The album consists of a single 45-minute track that is made up of five parts and is described as “a homage to the first Woman on Earth, Eve and her rebellion against her creator for bringing knowledge to Man”. In the context of one gigantic piece of work, this is maybe the greatest Doom epic ever recorded. It is very rare when you hear such a long composition of Doom that is so seamless and constructed in such a flawless way. Even though the album is made up of five different tracks, there is no gaps between songs so it flows like one continues long song. Trying to pick highlights is virtually impossible, the whole album is epic killer material from start to finish but there is some moments that stand out. … When the album finally winds down, it leaves you breathless. While Ufommamut have always been about sonic exploration and experimentation, on this album they not only nail the style but they have also taken it to a whole new level.”
